What is Red Nose Day?

Red Nose Day is a fundraising campaign run by the non-profit organization Comic Relief Inc., a registered U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity.

Red Nose Day brings people together to have fun, raise money and change the lives of kids who need our help the most.

Globally, Red Nose Day has raised over $1 billion since its launch in the UK in 1988.

Red Nose Day is on a mission to end child poverty – one Nose at a time. Money raised supports programs that ensure children in need are safe, healthy and educated. 

Half of Red Nose Day’s grant money will be spent right here in America on projects close to home. The other half will be spent in some of the poorest communities in Latin America, Africa and Asia.

Red Nose Day returns to America on Thursday May 24, 2018.

How can you help?

• You can buy a Red Nose at Walgreens (the exclusive retailer of the Red Noses). Available at Walgreens and Duane Reade locations nationwide starting April 2, 2018.

Where does the money go?

The money raised by Red Nose Day benefits children in some of the neediest communities in the US and some of the poorest communities in the world. Partner charities include Boys & Girls Clubs of America; charity: water; Children’s Health Fund; Covenant House; Feeding America; Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance; UnidosUS; Save the Children and The Global Fund.

How can I make a donation or turn in my fundraising dollars to Red Nose Day?

ONLINE: The easiest way to make your donation or turn in your fundraising dollars is online (using PayPal, or your credit or debit card) here.

BY MAIL: You can also make a donation or turn in your fundraising dollars by mail – send a check or money order made payable to “Red Nose Day Fund” to the address below. Please include a note with your name, company/organization/school name, your location, and details about your fundraiser.

IN PERSON: Cash donations can be delivered and accepted for the Red Nose Day Fund at your local Walgreens or Duane Reade stores nationwide. If you would like to claim a tax deduction on a cash donation made in store, please save the receipt provided by the Walgreens or Duane Reade and mail it to the address below. Include your full name and mailing address for the letter of acknowledgement that can be used to claim a tax deduction.
