Early Literacy

The Pediatric Care Center Reach Out and Read, Early Literacy Program.

As part of our commitment to Early Childhood Development, we are proud to announce our partnership with the Reach Out and Read (ROR) program. ROR “promotes early literacy and school readiness by integrating children’s books and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud, into well-child visits.”

Reach Out and Read promotes partnerships between care-givers and medical providers, in order to encourage and help children develop critical, early reading skills. Our practice follows the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines, and incorporates literacy checks, right into the regular office visit. We promote the importance of literacy to parents, and children, right from infancy; to ensure that they are prepared for school/learning.
