Appointment Preparation –
Make the Most of Your Child’s Appointment.
Here are some simple tips to make the most of your clinic visit and have an effective one-on-one time with your child’s physician.
Before your child’s appointment, write down a list of things you want to discuss with the doctor. Make note of any concerns or questions you may have. Plus, write down the names and dosages of any prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, your child may be taking.
Please be punctual for your appointments. This way you are not in a rush, and both you and your child(ren) can have a calm and relaxed visit.
Please provide a detailed family health history and keep us updated as things change. The family history is very important and can be a helpful evaluation tool.
Feel free to ask questions and don’t be shy about the nature of your questions. We are here to provide you with the best medical/health care you may need. If you need clarification or don’t understand at any point, we are always ready to go over any topic or issues you may have.
Before leaving the appointment, make sure you are comfortable with the answers you received and whatever treatment plan has been prescribed by the doctor. You can ask for a recap, double check with the checkout nurse, and go over your pre-appointment list to make sure we have covered all you intended to discuss.
Remember you can always contact us at any time, if you have further questions or need assistance in any way 🙂
