Avoid a “Twindemic” – Flu Season
It is important to stay alert, and take precautions in order to protect yourself and your family from influenza (flu) this flu season.
The flu is a highly contagious viral infection of the respiratory tract (nose, throat and lungs). Often confused with the common cold, influenza symptoms are typically more severe.
The following symptoms are some indicators that your child may have the flu:
- Rapid onset of fever
- Excessive tiredness
- Lack of energy
- General weakness
- Muscle aches
- Chills
- Cough
- Stuffy, runny nose
