FLU VACCINES ARE AVAILABLE
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends flu vaccines for everyone six months and older.
Babies younger than six months can’t get the vaccine. But if their parents, other caregivers, and older kids in the household get it, that will help protect the baby. This preventive measure is important because infants are more at risk for severe complications from the flu.
It’s crucial to do what you can to prevent illness during this COVID pandemic—catching both infections is possible, so getting vaccinated against preventable illnesses is highly critical. In addition, the flu vaccine is a great way to protect people at risk from influenza (“the flu”), such as the elderly, babies, and people with health conditions such as asthma.
Please call us to schedule your child’s flu vaccine at either our Southington or Bristol locations.
Thank you for allowing us to care for your children. Have a happy and healthy fall season.
Sincerely,
